Matthew Poznanovic has over two decades of water experience and has successfully represented both governmental and private sector clients in securing and protecting water rights in Colorado water courts, including cases before the Colorado Supreme Court, and administrative proceedings before the Colorado Ground Water Commission.
In addition to representing clients in litigation, Matt continues to assist his clients with water-related transactions, including title investigations, drafting water rights conveyance and closing documents, negotiating water-rights purchases, easements and license agreements. Prior to HPK, Matt practiced at Petrock Fendel Poznanovic, PC (formerly Petrock & Fendel, PC) for over 15 years. Before private practice, Matt worked in the Colorado Attorney General’s office and therefore brings a wealth of valuable knowledge and insight regarding the regulatory concerns and protocols of state government to the water-law practice of Petrock Fendel Poznanovic.
Matt’s enormous on-going success in water court is clearly derived from his consummate and persuasive communication skills, through which he has a unique ability to build solid relationships among clients and their stakeholders. He has a proven-track record of success with both government and private clients in helping them achieve their water goals.
